Viewing folders and files.

Can someone help.

Is there a way of changing the default way of viewing folders and files in
XP, instead of having to go to the view menu in each folder to change the
option.

ie , the default view is 'tiles' and iI want it to be 'details'

Thanks

Absolutely. All you do, is goto any folder (make sure you've already clicked
on Tiles and set the folder to show Details before you do this), and at the
top, bring down the "Tools" menu and click on "Folder Options..." After doing
so, click on the "View" tab, and click on "Apply to all folders", and then
click "Yes" when the dialog box appears.

Configure the 'Details' view, go to Tools, Folder Options, View tab and press Apply to All Folders. After that, each Explorer window you open will show the 'Details' view by default.
