View of Email Address in Contacts

Is it possible when using Exchange Server, If you enter a Email adress in a
Contact which is on your global address list that it shows the email Address
instead of the mailbox name? I ask this since My Smartphone's Software does
not support sync with Exchange server Addresses in contacts and everytime I
need to quickly look at an Email Adress I see the Mailbox name and cant get
the email address directly?

I've noticed that if the address is in the Global Address list it is is
shown as "EX" in the contacts but other email addresses is shown as "SMTP".
Is there anyway of changing the EX Addresses to SMTP Addresses?

Which version of outlook? and you are speaking about adding GAL entries to
Outlook's contacts and syncing contacts?
