Videocapturing issues

Hi everyone!
Now recently I have this problem during videocapture in WMM, using my Canon
MV300 camera and a digital movie cord bought at a local electronics store, I
get this blurry line on top of the video, a problem I never experience with a
regular S-video cord (but when using that one I get no sound). How can the
issue be resolved? And I do not want to record the sound and picture
sepparatly, and besides, when using S-video the resolution is lower than when
using digital connection.

Do you have any other device with a firewire port to see it that camera can
download without the lines? Have you tried using a different software to do
the capture with?
