Video/Movie Converter

What are your recommendations for a FREE converter to convert QuickTime .mov
format to avi, asf, ram or ra Files???? Also which of those file formats is
smallest in size and/or best to use so that most people can view the movie
without the page taking forever to load????? I tried RAD tools and the avi
file was huge, much bigger than the original QT file. I would like to post a
short video that I took with digital camera on our church web site but need
smaller file size.

Does anyone know if the Dazzle video program would do this? I have not yet
installed it on this new computer and it has been a while since I tried to
use it (old computer was just not capable of handling big files)
Thanks....... Millie

Hi,
been a while since I've done this but have you checked out Real Producer? It
will make a streaming video for you and is free. www.real.com I seem to
remember they keep the link well hidden though so you might find it quicker
on www.download.com

Any other suggestions? Windows Media Player will not open .mov files and the
RealProducer encodes but the video is really jumping and runs to fast and
with the free program, no way to change that (at least I could not find
it)....Many options disabled unless you upgrade........ Millie
