Video failure?

The video on my PC appears to have stopped working. On boot the monitor
displays all the usual system startup info and followe by the WindowsXP
logo. Instead of starting XP the monitor appears to go into powersave mode.
The hard disk light still flashes as though Windows is loading, but nothing
is displayed.

Can anyone help?

Since you are getting display during boot the monitor and video card are
obviously still functioning. This leads one to the conclusion that the
problem is with your Windows video driver. Try starting the computer in safe
mode. (tap the f8 key while the computer boots) If you get video in Windows
in safe mode, consult your computer manual or manufacturers Web site for
directions to reinstall your video drivers.

Cheers, that worked just fine. Uninstalled the old driver and reinstalled an
updated version.

Thanks
