Video Clips

I tried to insert an .mpeg file into powerpoint 2002 (xp) and it looks a dark
screen. I can play this video in windows media player. While I know I can
insert this as an object; the presentation would obviously run smoothly if it
would just run as an "insert" movie. Any help????

I tried this doing everything the website said (downloading all the
appropriate programs etc.) it says that I have an 9990 error. Any other
suggestions? I would really appreciate it.

I transferred an old vhs tape to dvd on a new Panasonic DVD recorder. I
then edited the movie in a program called Tsunami Mpeg DVD Easy Pack which
supposedly converts video into an mpeg file. The truth is that I have the
dvd; and can play it, without converting it, on Windows Media Player (WMP).
I just did not know how to clip part of the movie from WMP and insert it in
a powerpoint. Therefore I bought the Tsunami program thinking that it would
help me. Did I do something wrong? (I did not realize that you were
answering my other e-mail...sorry, you can just answer this one)
