Video card

I'm thinking of upgrading my video card and just wondered if I buy one of
these new cards with 8x AGP on it, does this have to be supported by my
motherboard or does it not make a difference? I currently have a Sony
PCV-RXG408 with a 64 Mb graphics card.
Thanx
Simon

Simon, yes it has to be supported by your Motherboard. My Guess for your
Sony would be it is. 8x is not that important.
anyway.

How much money are you looking to spend? I'm very happy with my GeForce
FX5600 256mb, and it was about $150. I suggest getting the ultra version.
They're even cheaper now; I bought mine about 3 months ago. DON'T get the
5200, it is really not worth it. The FX5900 would be ideal, but who has the
cash for that kind of thing?
