Video card on HP a844n

Hello,
I've upgraded from Windows XP Home to Windows Vista Home Premium. Everything
works fine except the frequent(1-2 times a day) 'blue screen' and then crash.
Needless to say this is really *&^%%$#@ irritating. I tried to upgrade my
video card nased on HP's recommendation. However the PC I have does not have
the capability to upgrade to what I need for Vista. Is there some part of
Vista that I can change so that the blue screen/ crash doe not occur until I
can get a new PC? From what I've found out, it may be a problem with Aero but
I'm not sure.
Thanks for any help/ suggestions.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this can really help but I had some problems with Video
adapters earlier. My theme on desktop would really mess up and make it
completely unusable. I would be required to restart or logoff.

Later I found out that some applications I was using had some unsupported
themes or UI's which was causing this problem. Check for program
compatibilities. I don't think Vista crashes that often. There could be some
other issue. Try a set-by-setp process to check each step you put forward.

I hope all will be ok!
Cheers!
