I disabled vgasave not knowing what it is. Now whenever Windows loads
I get the logo then a blank screen.
I have tried using the Recovery Console to re-activate vgasave, but it
seems that it already is enabled at system start.
I have tried copying the vga.dll and vga.sys files from the WinXP CD
to the system32 folder in case they were corrupt.
I have tried using different video cards (there is no onboard video
support), AGP and PCI.
I have started a repair installation of winxp, so whenever windows
loads, it continues with the installation, but without any display, i
can’t really do anything.
I would prefer not to have to reformat the hard drive. I have some
very important email address that I can’t really afford to lose unless
there really is no other option. I’ve forund out where outlook express
stores messages, but I don’t know how to backup the address book
outside of Windows.
Any help would be much appreciated.
