Very quiet sound once video captured

I have an analogue camcorder. I connect with one end in
the camera (line out) and the yellow to yellow, and black
into white (on the pc connection). It allows me to
preview and capture both with full normal sound. When
playing back I have to turn the volume to nearly max to
hear anything.

Any idea's would be gratefully recieved.

Right click on the little speaker icon in the Systray and ensure that the
Volume Level on the Line In (in the Recordings panel) is at the correct
level.

I have tried this but it changes nothing.

Any other suggestions, please.
