Hi All,
I am using veritas Backup. I am little bit confused with
some terms. I want to know distinction among deleting
media, erasing medis, formating media. For me all looks
same. Could any body of tell me the difference among these.

I don't know Veritas, but I suspect:

Deleting Media. - Removing this media id from the pools.
Erasing media - Removing the data from the media.
formating media - writing a label on the media.

I just want to know whether deleting media will delete the
data or not?.

No.
If you later import the media, the data would be there.
