VCR Capturing

Hello

I have the Gateway Medica LCD TV computer. I have my VCR hooked up to the TV monitor. I can play VCR's but I cannot capture the video in movie maker. When I click on capture from video device, I get an error message that says, "The video device is currently in use. Close any other application that is using the device and try again." When I click on OK, I get another error message that says, "The video device cannot be used at this time because there has been an error when starting the device." I've tried capturing the video while the video is playing and while it is not, both ways produce the error. How do I proceed?

If the unit runs the Media Center version of XP, you can't capture directly
into Movie Maker from an incoming TV/VCR or anything else that goes into the
TV Tuner card in the computer...

You need to capture using the Media Center software, into the proprietary
saved movie format, and then take steps to convert the file.... see the
Importing Source Files > Video > Recorded TV page of my site.
