vb.net 2005 working with zip and encrypt routines

What zip (compression) and encrypt routines work with VB.net 2005 or 2008
(What Microsoft or third party tools)? My company has 'secure zip for
windows' which was made by PKware. My company bought 'secure zip for windows'
since it can uncompress a file for a user once the user supplies the password.
Will 'secure zip for windows' work with vb.net 2005? If not, what software
will with encrypt and compress files while working in the vb.net 2005
framework?

I am assuming that the secure zip for Winows command line version has
encryption in it also. Do you agree? It seems like you think I would need to
use the .net zip library encryption instead of what secure zip would use.
