Vanishing Send/Recieve Button

In Outlook 2003 I set up the E-Mail account, tested it and it sends a test
message. When I open Outlook, for a few nanoseconds the send/receve button is
there but vanishes completely! If I try to customize the tool bar the
send/recieve option is not there under any heading; ie VIEW, FILE, etc.

Any suggestions?

If you have Norton products installed, disable the Office plug in.

Thanks for the tip. I am away from the problem pc at this time but will try
it when I return.
