V.2 merging

Can anyone tell me in V.2 how the ability to merge two set of data can be
achieved?

I’ve looked at the “update duplicates†option in importing and any way I try
to import data I get the following – “Some errors occurred while your data
was being importedâ€. “Error importing dataâ€.

I also notice I don't get the same option within restore of a database?

Merging is done based on the ModifiedOn field.

If the ModifiedOn field in the BCM file is more recent than the field
in the BCM database, then the entity in the datebase is replaced with
the entity in the file.
