uTorrent giving me a XP error code?

Hi, i tried posting this to the utorrent forum and the admin had no
idea how to resolve it so i googled the error and it *seems* to be a
windows error, but utorrent is giving me the error (it pops up in a
little balloon and in the utorrent log)

[08:59:41] Error opening "D:\slackware-10.2.iso.!ut": The system
cannot find message text for message number 0x%1 in the message file
for %2.
[09:03:07] Error opening "D:\MTB Freeriding.avi.!ut": The system
cannot find message text for message number 0x%1 in the message file
for %2.
[09:05:37] Error opening "D:\Extreme Rollerblades.avi.!ut": The system
cannot find message text for message number 0x%1 in the message file
for %2.

This is happening for separate files within a torrent, not for the
whole torrent itself. Usually i get this error and the torrent stops
then i usually have to start the whole torrent and occasionally i have
to "Force Re-Check".

At first i never got this error but now i am getting it a few times and
hour, sometimes a bunch in just a few minutes. It seems like some
files/torrents are more prone to this error than others. I can't make
heads or tails of this so I anyone has any ideas i would really
appreciate the help!

Cheers

Are you uploading or downloading the torrent that causes this?

Both. I haven't made/submitted any torrents myself but i leave
completed torrents to seed and those (though not as often) also give me
this error.

Can it be that you've stopped or paused the erratic torrents, closed
the app and reopened it later on and/or reconnected to the Net?

Try this: remove the erratic torrents from the uTorrent window and
reoppen them again. It may be that you need to briefly log back on
whatever tracker the torrents came from to start them up.
Once you restart the torrents, they will pick up from wherever they
were prior to the errors/removals.
You might lose your ratio counts on the affected torrents in the
uTorrent window, but this propably won't affect your ratio on the
trackers themselves.

Have you tried turning off the append !ut to incomplete files? See what it
does if you try that. You might also want to run chkdsk on your hard disk,
just to make sure everything is okay in the file system.
