Using XP Pro, Application programs will run for 5 to 90
seconds then they shut down without warning or notice.
They used to work ok. Ran AVG virus checker, no known
virus found. HELP!!!!!
Windows media player, notepad, outlook express all work
fine, but none msn programs such as Amipro, Pagemaker,
Filemaker Pro, Adobe PhotoDeluxe or Corel PhotoPaint won't
run. They just shut down. HELP!!

Reboot,
Run a program and wait for it to crash.
Note the exact time.
Start up the Event Viewer.
Look in the Application Log (and Syatem log) for an error message around
that time.
Double click on the error (or the first error if there are several)
A window will open that might tell you more about the error.
There is also a button to copy the error message to the clipboard.
Paste the error message here so we can see what it says.
