Hi, i was just reading about facebooks new advertising platform
(http://www.bspcn.com/2007/11/09/block-facebook-beacon/) and the
solution they posted. I am not a fan of firefox and am sure there is a
solution in Opera (my browser of choice) but asides from Opera's site
blocking i normally use my host file but normally i just add the site
and not the site + directories or wildcards so: Is it possible to add
entries like

http://*facebook.com/beacon/*

in the HOST file?

Any help or suggestions (other than "use firefox") would be greatly
appreciated!

Cheers

AFAIK, no you can't. I admit it would be helpful, but I've searched on that
possibilty before and not been successful.

I can't in any way vouch for the integrity of this site, but it claims to be
able to convert them to avi and other formats. I just got curious with all
the questions about ithere lately and so did a quick search; you could have
done the same thing.

Beware if the link should wrap; use copy/paste if it doesn't work right.

I'd be interested in hearing back how it works out, but I don't see the need
to be making videos out of youtube; the links take a lot less room and will
always be there.
