Using Web Services

I just downloaded the Web Services Toolkit for Office 2003. Because our IT
folks have all of our systems "locked down", I had to have one of them run
the installation.

Since I'm new to this, I was looking at some notes in an Access Advisor
magazine
on how to run web services. In the article I read, it indicates that "after
you have downloaded and installed the Toolkit, Access will have a new menu
item named Web Services References on the Tools menu in the VBA IDE".

Unfortunately, when I run Access, I am not seeing this new menu item. Could
it be a result of the admin having to do the install with her userid?

Has anyone else had this problem?
Does anyone have a solution?

Sorry, I don't have any way to test, but I think you're correct that the
problem is because the Toolkit wasn't installed under your ID.

Get them to temporarily unlock your machine (add you to the Adminstrators
group?), rerun the install, then remove your enhanced permissions.

Doug,
Dp you have any history with Web Services? I don't see much discussion on
any of the Access newsgroups regarding this technology. It seems that it
would really help extend Access as a viable tool across more than LANs.

Sorry, no experience at all.
