Using VS2005 to create web on server with Framework V1.1

Todd

I have Visual Studio 2005. I bought a domain and web hosting service
(on a shared server) from a nationally known web hosting provider.
Much to my surprise, they don't have Framework V2.0 installed and won't
for some time. (I didn't even think to ask!) I'd be glad to use
VS2003, but I don't have it. I use VS2005 on my laptop to author the
application directly on the provider's server. (I am not testing it
locally and then copying it to the server.)

QUESTION: Can I use VS2005 (provided I only use the older V1.1
components) to start building my application on the provider's server
that only has Framework 1.1? If yes, what do I need to do?

As a last resort I will change web providers, but I'm hoping this is a
easy config set up to allow me to use the V1.1 Framework with VS2005.
(I'm a bit loyal to this provider because they host other ASP classic
webs that I have. I'm not in the mood to learn about a new provider's
control panels, support infrastructure, culture, etc.)

Thank you, Todd
