Using the Same Theme Layouts for Multiple Themes

Is this possible?

Can I set up all my custom layouts for Theme A, build Theme B and not have
to reinvent all the custom layouts again?...somehow transfer them from Theme
to Theme?

We are knee deep in the roll out of 2007...pretty much everyone but the
group who actually uses PPT the most!!!.. and I'm starting to have to push
out some themes ASAP. We have multiple templates (in 2000) that are used now
and I would like to have one set of custom layouts that I can apply to the
themes as I develop them to get them out the door!

I tried opening Theme A and editing that for Theme B and I either did
something wrong, or it doesn't work.

Thanks...and hopefully someday I can stop posting a daily theme question!

Hi, Christine -- no worries about your questions. They are the same ones we
all ask when creating themes at first!

I would probably copy the master from theme A to theme B, then drag the
individual layouts into place underneath the other masters as necessary.
Then delete the copied master.

But yeah, you should be able to open theme A, edit it, and save as theme B.
Then open a new, blank file and apply theme B. Save that as a template if
you need to distribute a PPT template as well as an Office theme. If you
only need to send out a theme,. then you can skip the "open a new, blank
file and apply theme B" part. Just edit A, save as theme B, and you should
be good to go. (No idea why it didn't work. When I get in a hurry is always
when things don't work the way they're s'posed to.)
