using scanner without workstation access

I want to set up a Canon DR2080C to scan to pdf automatically when a
page is inserted into the scanner and to then automatically save the
pdf on a network drive.

Basically the idea is that users should be able to use the scanner
without having to click anything on the pc that the scanner is
connected to.

I can do this using the Capture Perfect software supplied with the
scanner and selecting "Scan to Batch". The problem is that the scanner
adds new pages to the same file and does not create a new file for
new pages.

Does anyone know of any scanning software that has the capability to
do this?

TIA

seems you'd not want to scan all as a batch then. I do not have this
software, but at canon, it shows a dialog that mentions batch separation?
don't know what you want to select there, but it sounds like you have it set
up to scan a batch, but don't really want it all in the same batch? perhaps
canon could help with the config.

model, but the software is mentioned)

(canon support for your scanner)

If you can't find the software, ActivePDF's PDF Object will let you whip up
a VB program to do what you want very quickly : )
