Using Outlook Journal

I am just trying to keep a Journal that is cumulative (for all days)
of the things I eat. I would like to do the same thing by keeping a
separate journal for recording or keeping track of my administrative
tasks that I do not bill out to clients. I have Office 2007. I also
purchased Office 2003 for all of the programs except Outlook. I am
more familiar with Office 2003 but I think Outlook 2007 has features
that warrant using it versus Outlook 2003. Should I use Outlook
Journal 2007 for this journal or should I just use a Word or text
file?

If I use Outlook 2007 for keeping a journal using Journal, is there a
way I can make these separate journals icons on my monitor or to make
it a folder in Outllok 2007

Thank you for any help anyone might provide.

I find the Outlook journal useful for things that need a time and duration
assigned. A journal that tracks your meals probably only needs a date, and
maybe you want to hold also the energy you ate, and calculate that. For that
Excel might be more useful for you.
