using outlook 20002 after using office 2003

I used for a month trial version of Office 2003,
uninstalled today and installed back my old Office 2002,
and issue started with Outlook. Whenever I try to click
Send/Receive button I get a message 'The Operation
Failed'. Outlook is not allowing even in the options to
click the send/receive button. I am able to receive and
send the messages but this issue is creeping me out. Help
greatly appreciated.
