Using older programs in Vista

Some older programs no longer work in Vista because Microsoft Exchange is not
present, how can this be rectified? An example is with Corel WordPerfect
version 8 which uses Microsoft Exchange for its Address Book. The program
itself with its latest Service Packs works fine on Vista but the Address Book
comes up with an error as: "Error, Current Profile Contains No Address Book,
Click Edit Settings
to select the profile." This is dealt with in the Corel Knowledge Base under
Article ID 13231. but refers to older operating systems (around Windows 95
time)!

Is this also why Outlook 2000 won't work with Vista?
