Using LDIFDE to export a group policy

Hi Everyone,

I just became familiar with the LDIFDE command for bulk
exports recently. What I need is some info on how to
export only one particular group policy using this
command. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think you can use ldifde to do this....

You will definitely want the Group Policy Management Console to do this.

Key features delivered via GPMC include:

a.. A unified graphical user interface (GUI) that makes Group Policy much
easier to use.
b.. Backup/restore of Group Policy objects (GPOs).

c.. Import/export and copy/paste of GPOs and Windows Management
Instrumentation (WMI) filters.
d.. Simplified management of Group Policy-related security.
e.. HTML reporting for GPO settings and Resultant Set of Policy (RSoP)
data.
f.. Scripting of Group Policy related tasks that are exposed within this
tool (not scripting of settings within a GPO).

or if that wraps horribly:

Just to give the why: a GPO is more than just objects in the directory. It
is also files in SYSVOL that need to be moved.
As stated earlier, GPMC is the method of choice here.

A GPO is not only an object in AD, it's actually built of two things, a GPT
and a GPC. Use GPMC to do this work instead, I don't think it's possible to
do in LDIFDE.
