Using Crystal Reports in an Access Application

Nancy

I'm developing an application written in access to track
materials requisitions. Management would like to see the
reports done in Crystal(8.5). If I develop a report using
the Crystal software and want to incorporate that report
into my Access 2000 application, what are the steps and
the code to incorporate it.

Thanks!

Because Access' reporting is preferred by the vast majority of Access
developers, you may have difficulty finding someone who's used Crystal with
Access. A Crystal newsgroup is likely to be a better place to find an
answer. I watched a colleague do some impressive work with Crystal, but it
was on a Web Site that was built using Cold Fusion, not in Access.

This is an interesting thread.
I have worked with Crystal Reports quite a bit but have never used
them with Access applications, so this would be interesting to follow.

How do you envision using Crystal? You will also need the developer edition
of Crystal so that you could launch the report programatically, but all in
all,
I dont think it would be a problem

While there are some advantages of using Crystal - you get a rich set of
formatting options for example, I'd imagine you would have to recreate in
Crystal any user defined functions that you created in access.
