using activsynch 4.5, but unable to synchronise files

Running XP and Activsynch 4.5.
Calendar, Contacts and Tasks are synchronising, but not files. The Mobile
Device folder on the PC has files in it which won't open. The PDA doesn't
have anything in Word, Xcel or Notes.
Any ideas, anyone?

You need to copy those files to a folder on your computer before you can
open them.

Note that ActiveSync is developed and supported by the Windows Mobile team
and not Outlook.

The correct newsgroup is pocketpc.activesync
