We have a database made in Access 97. Three people use this database. The
two who do any kind of data entry or database modifications have Access 97.
The third person, who just does data lookup, has 2003. The 2003 user always
gets a "Do you want to convert..." request when opening the DB. Would
splitting it into FE/BE solve this problem? In other words, would the FE
just recognize the BE as Access data and not pay any attention to the version
on which the data was designed and saved? We're just afraid that sometime
she might hit "yes" instead of "no" to the request to convert, then we'd have
a problem! We are a non-profit and can't afford to just update our software
at the drop of a hat! Thanks!
