User's Windows Do Not Minimize to Task Bar

We set up a user's new DELL this morning and her Windows XP is behaving fine
except for one little problem... her windows are NOT minimizing to the task
bar. Instead, they disappear from the desktop entirely and she must Alt+Tab
to find them again. I tried performing a repair installation, but it didn't
fix the problem. Any suggestions?
