I have set up a single computer running XP for a club.
I have created access for each person who needs normal access and the guest
acocunt for the other members.

The people accessing belong to different groups ie committee of management,
ladies committee, mens committee.
what i want to do is be able to create common shard storage areas for each
group that is not accessible to the other groups.

I can make the people members of a group but i don't seem to be able to find
a way of creating a file area on the C: drive with rights to that group
alone.

any ideas?

Home or Professional?
Formatted using NTFS or FAT32.

To get what you really will probably end up needing, you should have Windows
XP Professional on NTFS formatted drives. Then you can use File and
Directory permissions to do what you want.
