UserAccountControl Attribute

Hi All,

I need some help in figuring the meaning of the value. I exported the AD
users userAcount property and found that most of the users have a value of
either 512 or 544.

Here is the Table with some values.

AcountDisable 2
Passwd_Notreqd 32
Normal_Account 512

I understand accounts that have 512 value. But 544 is confusing as I assume
it is the sum of 512 + 32. The value 32 points to Passwd_notreqd.

Can some one shed some light on this value.

As you described seeing a useraccountcontrol of 544 is a normal account 512
+ Password Not Required 32

You are correct in your assessment of the 544 (512 + 32). Didn't find a lot
on it, but appears to be more often associated with accounts that were
migrated.

Your estimation for the users with a value of 544 seems to be correct. They
all looks to be migrated users. But there are some who have a 512 value
also. I also searched their password expiry date, just to see if they match,
But no. So your extimation seems to be correct.
