How do you determine if a user profile is domain related or not?

For instance if a user profile is

Susan.computerroom
The computerroom is shown to be the user domain and the also the computer
name, how can you determine how the user profile was set up.

If you do a registry query and obtain the following:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders
AppData REG_SZ C:\Documents and Settings\Susan.Computerroom\Application Data
Cookies REG_SZ C:\Documents and Settings\Susan.Computerroom\Cookies

Does this positively identify that it was set up as domain related? Or can
this be network?

Or is it possible that this was person set up to access network with domain
named computerroom?

OS is Windows XP Home.

It's Windows XP Home.
It was never/will never be a member of a Domain.

Yes, that is what I thought but then I found this and I wondered if there had
been some monkeying around. Please understand that I do not condone this.

I am trying to understand this better for volunteering in the malware
removal forums. I thought person may have tried to convert to domain or
malware had messed up the user profile.

Why does the user profile folders only have the .domain or can that be
something else like computer name. How do you get the .domain after the
profiles? or is that the .domain?

I have Windows XP Pro and no domains set up and none of my user profiles
look like the following:

The user profile are:
Susan.Computerroom (admin)
David.Computerroom (admin)
CHILDREN.Computerroom (admin)
Administrator (admin)

Profile names for standalone computers are either the username, or if that
folder already exists when the user first logs-on, then username.computername

Are you saying that if a user account is deleted but the files are left
intact, if the user account is set up again then the username.computer name
will be used?

I do not understand how the system distiguishes between a new user and and
old user.
