User Permissions for Games

I have installed a game on my home pc which is running XP Pro SP1. I have 2 user accounts on this machine, my account which is administrator and my sons' which is a limited account.

I cannot get the game to launch or run under my sons' login but it works fine for me. How can I grant my sons' account access to the game, which resides in the Program Files folder, without making him a full administrator user.

Appreciate any advice given.

Try installing it from his User Profile.

I have had the same problem with games under WinXP Pro. I don't think
there is a solution; you have to grant the user Administrator access for
some games to work properly. However, you can sometimes avoid problems
by installing the game in the user's "my documents" folder. Simply
create a new folder in the user's My Documents, and install the game in
that folder. Then the user will have complete access to all the game's
files. I used this method successfully for my daughter's Guest account,
and it worked well.

Can it not be installed from the admin's account but placed in the Shared
folder?
