Good day. I have a new system with XP Media Center. I have changed the
administrators username from Owner to my new name, but everytime I reboot the
system, it changes the login username to: Owner. How can I stop this.
Again, I have already changed the administrator username to something other
than "Owner" thanks. Dr. P

Leave the built-in user accounts alone and create a new account for
yourself. Do this from the User Accounts applet in Control Panel.

Hi Malke, thanks. You are right. I just created a new Administrator account
and it worked. Is there anyway to rename the "Owner" username? When I do,
it just reverts back to Owner when I logoff or reboot. Thank you. Dr. P

Just leave it alone! It is a built-in account and you never need to
access it unless there is an emergency.

Malke is giving you sound advice. Never rename default accounts, simply
create a new account with the name and permissions you wish.
