user floder problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with one of our Windows XP pc.

When the user logs onto the domain it creates a user folder in
c:\documents and settings.

But when the user logs off the pc and logs on as someone else the user
folder deletes itself so when the user logs back on I have to set up
his profile again.

I have tried logging him on another pc, which it all works fine with no

problems at all its just happening on this pc.

Does anyone know why it creates the profile but as soon as you log off
it deletes the user folder?

Any help would be very grateful because i have never come across this
before

Thanks in advance

Karl

As it is only happening on that one machine I suspect a local policy

Click Start - Run - gpedit.msc
Locate the following section: Computer Configuration \ Administrative
Templates \ System \ User Profiles.
Find "Delete cached copies of roaming profiles"
Set it to Not Configured
