User cannot create Queries

I have created a new database using Access 2002 under XP which I have
secured. Any admin user can create new queries but anyone in the Users group
gets an error "You do not have the necessary permissions to use the
'MSysTables' object".

I have displayed System Objects but MSysTables does not appear in the list.

I have seen othe posts on this in other newsgroups but with no answer to the
problem.

Any one any ideas?

I just ran across your message while having the same
problem you describe. I had to actually add the user to
the Admins group in order to make this go away. Then I
took some permissions away from the Admins group. What I
was doing was trying to create a secure environment where
users could create queries without messing up data in the
tables that were linked in. This seems to have done it.
