Hi,

My pc won't allow me to log on under my own user name saying it has
possibly become "corrupt" - then when I try to do a system restore - I get an
error message tell me it has failed to execute and will now close...

Pls help.

Hi Xena,

Once a user profile is corrupt, there is little you can do. Log on as the
system administrator and create a new user account for yourself, then copy
the old user profile into it. The steps are here:

To logon as administrator, in WinXP Pro hit ctrl+alt+delete twice at the
logon screen, then type it in. In WinXP Home, you must restart in Safe mode
in order to select this account.
