Use different home folder when connecting to different WTS farm

We have different WTS farms in different locations. How should we configure
so when users connect to different WTS farms they can use different home
folders? We noticed some applications (like Excel) talk to users home folder
excessively thus we need to setup home folder which is close to the terminal
servers.

Thanks in advance.

Setup separate OUs for each farm of servers, then use loopback policy
processing to enforce a specific policy on users dependent on which servers
they logon to. In the policy you can redirect folders to specific places,
run different logon scripts and apply Policy Microsoft Office Templates with
the default save path you desire.

Post back if you're unfamiliar with loopback policies.

Thanks Patrick. Can you elaborate more about "apply Policy Microsoft Office
Templates with the default save path"? The problem we're facing now is the
Excel talks excessively with user's TS home folder (or home folder if TS home
folder is not configured).

Can you also give more information about loopback policy?

Thanks,

Kelvin

The office resource kit for each version of Microsoft Office (2000-2003)
includes Group Plicy Templates which you can import into a GPO. It contains
settings to control just about every facet of each Office Program.

Loopback Policy processing is used to apply a specific GPO to users when
they logon to a specific set of computers, i.e. terminal servers. People
usually want to lock down TS very tightly, but want users to have a little
control over laptops computers.
