USD DVD Rom not recongised

Sirs

I connect external DVD ROM to USB and was working fine. However, when i try
to use it recently, i find the PC cannot detect it.

When I try to use same USB cable connect digital camera, it works fine on
camera, but not DVD ROM.

Please help

Try the external drive on another machine. Is it seen there? If not,
then you know there is a problem with the drive enclosure or the drive
connector itself.
