Windows XP usbport.sys

I am receiving bsod's on a couple of our machine. We have a dictation device that is usb and has been happening to folks when they undock the device. The minidump points towards usbport.sys Any suggestions on what to do? I know the hardware is stable as far ram, video ram, etc.. is concerned.

What about replacing the usbport.sys with an updated ( if there is one? ) Thanks!

Undock ? ain't they fixed that yet ?

... you will need to reboot the PC ... I would just pull the thing out, it's USB, supposed to be 'hotswap' ie push-it-in, pull-it-out.
