Please help me!!!
I have an epson (all in one) printer that I had installed on my windows xp
machine for some time now. I recently tried to install a sony camcorder
software that totally crashed my printer. I cancelled out of the camcorder
install, however ever since I have not been able to print. The error message
I'm getting is in the device manager, other devices, usb2.0 mfp (hi speed)
isn't configured or not communicating. I have contacted epson and they say
the problem is in the O.S. itself that it need to recoginize a multifunction
printer. I cannot figure out how to get the correct driver information to
get this fixed.

a) I'm not sure why you'd want Sony software on your PC, connecting the
camcorder with a firewire cable will do the trick, drivers are included in
XP.

b) Either use System Restore to go back to before you installed the
camcorder, or go into Device Manager, scroll down until you get to the USB
Controllers, right click and uninstall each of them in turn.

Reboot and XP will reinstall the USB ports. Do NOT have the printer
connected when you do this. After XP has reinstall the USB ports, then
reinstall the software for the printer but do NOT connect it until the
software tells you to do so.

Thanks for the reply.
a) I was trying to download a baseball game, that part is irrelevant now, I
just need my printer to work.
b) I already had tried system restore and that didn't work.
I'm a little nervous uninstalling the usb controllers in device manager.
A couple items in there have devices hooked up to them, like my internet
modem. The error I'm getting is under Other devices when I plug in the
printer. The USB2.0 mfp has a yellow circle with a black explanation point.
I was reading through some of the other threads and noticed one similar to
mine, talking about how a Logitech software corrupted their printer driver
and they had to do a fix through the windows registry. Is that something I
could try? I'm thinking when I uninstalled the camcorder software maybe it
didn't uninstall all the drivers it put on and its conflicting with my
printer driver.
Let me know what you think...
