usb scanner problems

Sorry I don´t speak english.
I use Windows XP Home and I use scanner Medion 4394. This scanner is similar
an Artec e+ 48u.
WXP not found the scanner and can´t install driver (.inf). Xp tell then file
..inf haven´t scanner information.
In December scanner run sucessfully and can´t run few days ago.
Can anybody help me?

Sorry by my bad English again.

When you say WXP cannot install the driver, does it say why it cannot
install it? Are you trying to reinstall the software, which is what I would
expect you should do?

Yes I uninstall and install software again but don´t work.
In December scanner work good.
Yesterday install scanner in friend´s PC with Windows 98 and work fine.
I think the problem encounter in windows update archivo that I install in
January.

I have an Artec e+ scanner.

You have to install the driver first, then connect the scanner. Just run
the install from the CD that came with the scanner, then connect the
scanner to the USB port.

It is some thing that has modified Windows update and no longer it leaves
me.
I have read by Internet to other people that for a short time happens to them
the same with scanner and camaras digital but not encounter a solution

How about looking for updated USB drivers for your system?

I download and install last scanner drivers only because I have an HP
Printer, two usb 2.0 external box, webcam, belkin wifi adapter and Sony clie
Palm (all usb) and all working well but only scanner failure (work fine 20
days ago ).
I think usb 2.0 drivers in PC work well and the problem is in scanner and
last windows updates.

I have seen something like this before with a USB scanner and we fixed by
going through Add New Hardware wizards. That then found the device. You might
also try switching USB jacks. Sometimes it works, though I am not sure why.

Abandonment. I am tired of Windows XP, its continuous failures, problems of
security, lost of data, instability, virus and a pile of things. The one is
lost more time repairing than working. It is a constant problem.

The solution to your stated problem may be as simple as un-installing the
scanner software program; then shutdown and re-start your Computer, then
re-install the Scanner software. After you do that, BE SURE to check Medion
manufacturers site for software/driver updates.

With installing, uninstall, update, last drivers etc, are not solved
anything. A friend miwith scanner canon is exactamante past to him the same.
Scanner suddenly lets fucionar. The great problem is XP and their last
updates. They have let work a pile of scanners and camaras with you complete
updates for XP and single Microsoft says "contacts with your manufacturer".
Good solution. I repeat I am already tired of continuous Microsoft and its
virus, failures of security, patches, conflicts, re-instalations and
continuous problems

i speak english and i cant get my scanner to work installed over and over
again sometimes work others not error msg is cant find twain? or it is
unpluged have checked everything it is all ok scanner is canoscan 646u ex
