usb port and driver

I get an error ststing that the USB device was not
recognized. I followed the help and the troubleshooting
from the computer and the web site.

I have tried cd's that came with the HP camera . NOthing
came with the dock. This is the cable that the
instructions say to use. The cAMERA says it is connected
to the computer. The computer does not recognize it. I
can download off the printer but why dioes the USB calbe
not work. I tried 2 different spots for the cable too
HELP!

I know exactly what you are talking about. The same exact
thing is happening to me with my HP Printer. I dont think
it is necassarily HP though because my palm pilot cradle
did the same thing too. If you find out how to fix it or
