USB not recognized

I have had usb adapter 108 installed through original software, it had
worked for about a half a year. Now it doesn't work because of the problem
mentioned above. I install the device normally and when the software asks me
to put the device in, then it doesn't recognize it. But it had worked
previously. Now it says that device is malfunctioned.

I uninstalled it because the not recieving files was actual on my second
computer, this two are connected via ad hoc. (then pinging didn't worked)

The adapter is normally recognized on third computer.
I must mention that i had had mandriva linux installed, and then uninstalled
cause i thought maybe drivers got confused or something, is that possible ?

Don't know how to solve this issue, i red some solving solutions but i'm not
an computer expert so to work with os matrix.

Hey what happened here?
Anybody have a glimpse of idea what to do to make this work?
I'm having problem with adhoc connection and with the local connection,
don't know what options to pick and how to connect to other computer.
