USB Memory Stick Lost Memory

I have a 128MB memory stick, it has been working fine for 4 weeks but
when I last went to use it, the computer said I needed to format it, as
I had no documents on there I wanted, I just pressed continue. Now the
stick only has 63mb of memory.

Have I lost the other 65mb of memory for good or is there anything I
can do to restore it?

It sounds as if the device has failed, I'm guessing it was made up from
2 x 64MB chips. If I'm right, it might be better to get rid of it rather
than rely on it, especially given the price of such devices these days.
