USB Flash Drive

Hi. Is it ok to just remove the USB flash drive from the
USB port without stopping it first? Also are USB flash
drives pretty reliable? Can they take a beating without
breaking? I have drivers and Word documents backed up on
their I just wouldn't want the drive to break one day if
I ever needed to reinstall XP again and the USB flash
drive didn't work. Thanks, Craig.

Flash drives are considered Plug and Play. This means that while the
computer is running, you can plug it in and use it. This also means that
you can unplug it while the computer is running and it will work just
fine. These new USB flash drives are awesome as they are much more
reliable than floppies, hold a lot more information, and are compatible
with Windows XP without needing to install drivers (usually).
