Are you having any problems when connecting other usb devices? USB
support may be disabled from bios then you should enable it. This is
another posibility coming to my mind

Has it *ever* worked in the desktop computer?
If it works in the notebook, then probably nothing is wrong with the
card.

I had a similar problem that was ultimately resolved by removing the
USB entries in DevMgr and refreshing (be aware, you will lose use of
the keyboard and mouse if they are USB devices).

(Hint: it's a USB device!)

(Anything new going on in Alt.Autos.Toyota lately?)

Something interesting just happened.
I use my PC with reinstall XP SP2,
plug my usb disk ,
then plug my WLI-U2-KG54 usb wireless card twice,
the card become "unrecognized device" in device manager.
But if I plug wireless card first,
nothing will happen.

Yes,just yesterday,Its still work in my PC.

card.

I already reinstall the XP,but don't work.

I solve the problem by installing a usb pci card.
I plug the card into the usb port in the card and it work.
Why?

I solve the problem by installing a usb pci card.
I plug the card into the usb port in the card and it work.
Why?

The add in card is using a different set of drivers.
The XP drivers for the onboard controller are whacked, but if you
*reinstalled* XP, then all bets are off :/

As I said before, I had a similar issue. Removed and reinstalled the
USB section from DevMgr 3 times to no avail. A friend came in and did
the EXACT SAME THING, and it fixed it ...!

Question: Does your bios have any settings that relate to the number
of usb ports, and do they match what is really there??

....

I'd suspect the card is now faulty. You have tried it in two systems
with the same result :/
