USB and Firewall Problems

Help!
I don't know what happened but my USB's all of a sudden
aren't working (i.e. they're not picking up my mouse or
floppy devices) and furthermore I can't seem to activate
the firewall feature (ICF) on my network connections (LAN
and Wireless). It keeps spitting back "An error occurred
while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled. The
dependency service or group failed to start."

The USB's and the ICF were working fine earlier this
afternoon????

Can anyone help? Thank you!

I'm running Win XP Pro on my laptop.

For a quick fix: If your it just started this afternoon, try using System
Restore (Start button/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore),
and using a Restore Point from yesterday, or a date as close as possible to
today.
