I have just built a new PC using XP Home/SP1 and have USB 2.0 ports on the
back and front. The motherboard supports up to 8 USB 2.0 ports. When I
insert my Thumbdrive (2.0) in one port it works at 2.0 speed. When I insert
it into another port I get a message saying a high speed device has been
plugged into a low speed port. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling
the USB hubs but get the same results. I have also tried to install the USB
drivers that came with my motherboard and get the same results. Any ideas as
to what is going on.
